BayazHan, which was restored by the City of Gaziantep, was the residence of Beyazzade Ahmet Aga, the grandfather who in the late 1890ies began a career as a tobacco merchant in Gaziantep, Aleppo Eyaleti of the Ottoman Empire. He built together with his business partner what is known today as BayazHan. It is an architectual symbol of its time (1904-1907).
